Profile’s Thermally Refined® wood fibers maximizes coverage and performance. You need many more bales of competitive mulch to equal the coverage and performance of Eco brand mulch. The Thermally Refined wood fiber in Eco brand hydraulic mulch produces more surface area to hold 13.5 times its weight in water and promote faster, more complete germination. Lesser brands feature atmospherically refined fiber which results in 50% less water-holding capacity and less build. They simply don’t provide as much coverage per bag as the Eco line.
